Unarmed men at the mercy of armed youths

A 17 year old girl who was among a gang of teenagers who attempted to murder a man at Harlesden Tube Station last March has been jailed. Strict firearm laws did not prevent one of the teenagers from being armed with a shotgun which was discharged at the man during the attack, a type of scenario which has not dwindled despite ever more oppressive gun laws being introduced.

Had the man in question been armed with a handgun, perhaps via a concealed carry permit seen across US states, he would have dissuaded his attackers by simply announcing the presence of said weapon. As usual, the criminals in society remain armed while their victims have the ability to exercise their self-defence rights stripped away from them by politicians pandering to 'tough on crime' rhetoric.

Demand firearms as well as non-lethal weapons be made legally available.
