Edmonton stabbing - More weapon laws not the answer, more weapons is

The motiveless murder of a student in Edmonton by a gang of youths highlights why your right to carry a weapon for self-defence is in desperate need of legislative backing. Attacks such as this are common and can happen to anyone. There is no means of reasoning with such callous evil.

Student stabbed to death in London
"Local MPs Nick de Bois, Enfield North, and David Burrowes, Enfield Southgate, areon Thursday due to meet the justice secretary, Ken Clarke, to press for an amendment to a parliamentary motion to impose a six-month mandatory sentence on any adult caught in possession of a knife or bladed weapon. They want the sentencing powers to extend to those aged under 18."

The simple fact that these youths chose to break the law regarding murder dismisses any notion that they would be deterred by a sentencing increase regarding carrying a knife. The only means to cut down on such attacks is to allow the law-abiding the choice and ability to defend themselves using practical personal defence weapons, such as a handgun.

At least now we can sleep safe in the knowledge..

Being hailed by the Met as a "hugely successful operation"  we see an "arsenal" of decaying flintlock pistols and flare signal launchers formally belonging to a collector of old curiosities... rather, 'gangs', taken off the streets  - obviously an operation needing over 30 officers off the streets to attend to!
